Heart-Healthy Options When Dining Out

Who doesn’t love a night out with good friends and even better food?

If your plans involve dining out any time soon, the following are some great, heart healthy options to help keep you on track!

#1 – Go for Lean!

Ask for skinless chicken, fish, or a lean meat.

#2 – Choose Water Every Time.

You can never go wrong getting water instead of a sweet tea!

Choosing a healthier drink option such as water can help to maintain a healthy weight and reduce the risk of damage that sodas may cause to your health.

#3 – Sneak in Some Fruits & Veggies.

Eating out can be fun, but you still need to make healthy decisions!

Fruits and vegetables contain essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that may help protect you from chronic diseases, including stroke and certain cancers. Making sure at least one of your sides is a fruit or vegetable is a great heart-healthy option.
