Join WakeMed Children’s at Marbles Kids Museum for Children’s Diabetes Education Day, taking place March 17 at Marbles Kids Museum from 9 am to 1 pm!

Being diagnosed with diabetes can be scary. Whether it’s Type 1 or Type 2, it can mean big changes. We’re here to help you through and demonstrate how you can not only live with diabetes, you can thrive.

At this family-friendly event, experts will be on-hand to offer advice, tips and a glimpse into the future of research and care.

The Diabetes Education Day program is FREE; admission to Marbles museum is separate (discount available for diabetes program attendees).

EDUCATION STATIONS — 9 AM TO 1 PM

Visit a variety of education stations to meet the experts and learn more about:

  • Nutrition – cooking demos and advice from dietitians
  • School – managing diabetes in the school setting, how to handle sick days
  • Parent Support – Camp information, introduction to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)
  • Tips & Tricks – Learn what you should always have with you if you have diabetes
  • TrialNet ScreeningsType 1 Diabetes TrialNet screenings for relatives
  • Plus, fun games and chances to win prizes!
