We are currently smack dab in the middle of the most popular birth months of the year – July, August and September. Actually, September is typically the most common birth month, with September 16 being the most common birthday of all.
The fact that these hot summer months are the most popular is not surprising considering just nine months earlier the weather was getting colder, people were spending more time together inside and they were (um) celebrating the holidays.
At WakeMed, we celebrate lots and lots of birthdays every year because, as a system, we celebrate more births than any other hospital in Wake County. At our newest hospital, WakeMed North Family Health & Women’s Hospital, which is also Wake County’s first Women’s Hospital and our third birthing center, we celebrate birthdays in a very special way – with a sparkling cider toast, a birthday cake and room service. It’s true. We know how to throw a birthday party!
