If you need to stock up on some fresh fruits and vegetables, come on over to WakeMed! The WakeMed Raleigh Campus at 3000 New Bern Avenue is now home to one of the area’s newest farmers’ markets.
Beginning June 3, the WakeMed Farmers’ Market will be open every Tuesday throughout the summer from 10 am to 2 pm in the courtyard. Employees, patients, visitors and the entire community are invited to shop a wide selection of fresh, North Carolina-grown produce while enjoying music, cooking demonstrations and more.
The market will be located within the hospital’s outdoor courtyard – just through the Main Visitors’ Entrance – off New Bern Avenue. Free parking will be available in the P1 parking deck for Farmers’ Market patrons.
Cash, debit, credit and EBT cards will be accepted. WakeMed will also offer two for one Market Match vouchers, while funding lasts, for those who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
