Cary community come Walk with WakeMed this Sunday, April 14 in Fred Bond Park. The event will include a one or two mile family friendly walk led by Wake Specialty Physicians – Parkway Primary Care doctors, music, kids activities, health education and an appearance by Twinkle, WakeMed Children’s mascot.
The benefits of walking include a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, diabetes, and dementia. Walking also improves your energy level and mental outlook, resulting in better sleep and more. A pair of shoes is all you need to get on the path to better health.
Time: Walk starts at 2:00 p.m.
