Mother’s Milk Bank in Dire Need of Donations

WakeMed Mother’s Milk Bank is in dire need of donations.

As one of only 11 not-for-profit milk banks in the U.S., the WakeMed Mother’s Milk Bank distributes more than 200,000 oz. of milk each year to premature babies in intensive care units primarily on the east coast.

The need for donor milk has been significantly increasing over the past couple of years, and milk banks across the country are struggling to keep up with demand.  In fact, the WakeMed Mother’s Milk Bank has had to restrict sending milk to everyone except for only the sickest premature infants.

Become a donor today and help a premature baby grow and thrive.
