Winter Chill Tennis Challenge Benefits WakeMed Children’s

In addition to reminding everyone to be really careful today, I thought it was fitting with the inclement weather to publicize the Winter Chill WakeMed Foundation event today.

Tennis players of all ages are invited to participate in the second annual Winter Chill Tennis Challenge being held on January 29, 2011.

Sponsored by Raleigh Racquet Club Indoor Tennis Facility, the event will benefit the WakeMed Children’s Hospital and will feature Round Robin doubles, USTA Quick Start Tennis (mini tennis) and entertainment.

Children ages 5 and up are invited to join Twinkle, the WakeMed Children’s mascot for their own session of mini tennis. Plus, dinner will be served, raffle prizes will be given and a special exhibition match will be held.

$75 per couple

$40 per player ages 15 and up

$10 per child ages 5 to 14 for mini tennis
