At its heart, our workplace is special because of the quality of staff. Everyone who works at WakeMed is here for the same reason, to make the patient experience exceptional whether that means providing compassionate, quality patient care or helping a visitor navigate the hospital.  Emphasis is placed on pursuit of excellence.  We are encouraged at all levels of the organization to continuously expand our skills set through continuing education and encourage career development in coworkers through mentoring, unit specific projects, shared governance, and professional recognition programs.  And, we are collectively proud of all that we do to give back to our community.  It is these things and so much more that make WakeMed special.
