SNOW DAY

Today the Triangle has its first chance of wintery precipitation of the season. While snow days are extremely fun for children of all ages (including those over the age of 18), it is important to make sure that you are prepared. And, yes, this means more than rushing out to the grocery to stock up on bread, milk and eggs.

Helpful Info for Staying Safe

WakeMed Emergency Services Institute has compiled information about staying safe on the road and in your home to ensure a happy snow day for all.  And for our parents who may be looking at hours in the house entertaining children, here’s a link to a Families First list of boredom busters.

Today also marks the last day of school of the year for Wake County Public Schools students.  This means that many families will be spending time at the home of relatives and friends enjoying holiday festivities.  Make sure the entire family stays safe over the winter break by reviewing these tips.
